Job Description
At IPS, we are global leaders in developing innovative solutions for the consulting, architecture, engineering, project controls, procurement, construction management, and CQV of technically complex facilities, primarily in the life sciences industry. We are looking for a talented Project Manager to join our dedicated team at our office in Cork, Ireland.
Projects can range from small retrofits to large greenfield builds, providing opportunities to grow your PM career. You will plan and organise all engineering functions specific to the projects, coordinate client interaction between the project teams and clients, and provide guidance on recommended manpower and technical resource loading.
What You'll Do
Successful project delivery, achieving scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives on your projects.
Develop new business, as you attend pre‑bid meetings with clients and prepare proposals in conjunction with department heads, directors, and other key individuals.
Identify project risks and work to mitigate those in partnership with senior leadership.
Responsible for control of project scope and development/communication of all scope adjustment notifications to the client.
Reporting responsibilities including developing and maintaining meeting minutes, action items/needs lists, project execution plans, monthly financial/schedule reports, and other reports as requested by the client.
Qualifications & Requirements
7+ years of experience executing project delivery, five of which must be in a Project Management role.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.
Industry experience in manufacturing facility design related to life sciences.
Construction experience.
Understanding of Earned Value and other project controls methods.
Promotes safety and adheres to IPS and client safety policies.
Context, Environment, & Safety
Travel based on the project and project location.
This position is a safety‑sensitive position.
The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other “non‑administrative” areas.
All interviews are conducted either in person or virtually, with video required.
