Job Description
Providing technical oversight of Platform Engineering for the Wendy's Brand. The candidate will lead various initiatives for research and development of Cloud Native solutions within digital technology architecture. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and implementing programs for integration into Wendy's infrastructure to support business initiatives. The role acts as a liaison between IT groups and business partners, requiring effective communication and collaboration with Digital, Restaurant, Security, and Infrastructure teams. The candidate will own technical design and ensure the successful transition of projects into production, with a focus on migrating digital technologies to GCP and globalizing the digital platform.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical design leadership for solutions aimed at improving operations for Wendy's. Ensure projects are properly defined, developed, tested, and implemented. Represent IT in project review meetings, following departmental methodologies and best practices.
* Partner with Business Owners to plan and document technology-related work requests. Establish procedures for reviewing and prioritizing work requests.
* Provide weekly project updates to management and attend scheduled status meetings.
* Identify solutions and process improvements to reduce costs or enhance execution.
* Resolve complex issues related to projects and support ongoing maintenance of business needs.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related IT field with 6+ years of IT experience, emphasizing system design, security, system administration, and networking.
* Strong knowledge of IT systems, operational procedures, operating systems, and computer applications.
* Ability to identify technical and security issues, collaborating with Security teams and vendors for remediation.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with peers and management.
* Excellent communication, organization, planning, leadership, and presentation skills.
* Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing environment and a quick learner.
* Strong technical aptitude and desire for continuous technical development.
