Monitoring Administrator
The primary role of a Monitoring Administrator is to maintain and optimize monitoring systems, ensuring timely alerting, effective onboarding/offboarding, and secure user access. This position plays a critical part in supporting proactive service delivery and operational excellence across customer infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administer and maintain monitoring platforms, including Kaseya, Datto RMM, and Logic Monitor.
* Implement and adjust monitors based on requests from internal teams, such as disk space alerts, network throughput, and UPS battery status.
* Ensure accuracy and relevance of alerts to reduce noise and improve incident response.
* Create and manage user accounts, defining permissions to control visibility and access across customer environments.
* Enable/disable accounts and enforce MFA policies.
* Handle password resets for external users (internal users managed via Active Directory).
* Set up customer device groups and prepare agent installers.
* Perform device and network discovery to identify assets for monitoring.
* Deploy agents and configure SNMP/SSH monitoring for network devices.
* Collaborate with the service desk, infrastructure, and customer teams to ensure monitoring coverage aligns with service requirements.
* Maintain documentation for monitoring configurations, user access policies, and onboarding procedures.
Requirements:
* Experience with Kaseya, Datto RMM, and Logic Monitor (or similar platforms).
* Strong understanding of SNMP, SSH, and agent-based monitoring.
* Familiarity with network and server infrastructure.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Vendor certifications in networking, Windows server technologies or any RMM tool would be advantageous.
