Join a well-established technology company that develops and operates large-scale cloud platforms used by organisations across Ireland and the UK. They are hiring a Principal Platform Engineer to take ownership of the infrastructure behind a critical production platform.
The role focuses on reliability, automation, and infrastructure scalability across both cloud and private environments. You will play a key role in ensuring systems remain resilient, secure, and ensure performance while helping to improve deployment processed and operational standards.
What You’ll Get

Design and maintain Linux-based infrastructure across AWS and private environments
Ensure high availability, resilience, and business continuity
Lead incident response and root cause analysis
Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
Manage monitoring, logging, and performance across production systems
Act as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
Skills & Experience Required
8–10+ years experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or SRE roles
Experience managing production infrastructure in AWS or public cloud environments
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or similar
Monitoring and observability experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or similar)
Strong networking knowledge including routing, firewalls, and load balancing
