Accountant Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our accounts department.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of SME clients, providing accounting services such as audit exempt and audited financial statement preparation. They will also be expected to leverage a team of trainee accountants to deliver services, effectively delegating and managing the workload of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing a portfolio of SME clients, providing accounting services such as audit exempt and audited financial statement preparation.
* Leveraging a team of trainee accountants to deliver services, effectively delegating and managing the workload of junior staff.
* Staying up-to-date with technological advancements relevant to the accounting industry.
* Continuously improving and innovating to foster a culture of ongoing enhancement.
* Preparing and filing annual returns and abridged accounts with the CRO (Companies Registration Office).
* Preparing and filing Corporation Tax and Income Tax returns with Revenue.
* Handling VAT and Payroll returns.
* Maintaining books and records for bookkeeping/advisory clients.
* Preparing and presenting monthly/quarterly management accounts to clients, providing valuable insights from these accounts.
* Assisting and training junior staff members.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a practice setting and recently qualified ACCA/ACA/CPA. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks are essential. A problem-solving attitude, curiosity, and a desire to find better solutions are also highly valued.
