Endoscopy Nurse Specialist
About the Role:
As an Endoscopy Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
* Providing education and support to patients and their families to promote informed decision-making and self-management.
* Assisting with the preparation and administration of medications, as well as monitoring patients' responses to treatment.
* Maintaining accurate records and documenting all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
* Registration as a General Nurse with The Nursing and Midwifery Bord of Ireland (NMBI).
* Previous experience in an endoscopy setting is highly desirable, although not essential.
* At least 1 year's post-registration experience in a relevant clinical area.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD) to ensure currency of knowledge and skills.
