Cost Engineering Specialist Role Overview
This is a highly sought-after role in cost engineering with a global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. The successful candidate will be based in Ireland and play a key part in the company's expansion project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide cost engineering services to both project and corporate management for proposals and project operations, ensuring accurate financial planning and control.
* In conjunction with Project Control Manager, establish project requirements regarding scope of services, organisation job specific procedures, and cost reporting.
* Establish man-hour, materials quantity, and cost budgets, control, and forecasting of direct and indirect reports.
* Analysis of variance, trends, and development of monthly forecasts to inform business decisions.
* Supervise the monitoring and control of cost commitments, expenditure, and their allocation, maintaining transparency throughout the process.
* Monitor overall project cost performance, contingency allowances, and drawdowns to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Multiple projects experience as a Lead overseeing Cost programme.
* Ideal candidates possess Pharma/Biopharma project experience; alternatively, retrofit project experience or similar can be considered.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, driving collaboration and results.
