Who are we looking for?
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Data Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering and Analytics team within Carne. You will be joining our team at a time of rapid growth, and you will play a key role in developing our Data Engineering and Analytics function as we scale.

What is your role and your responsibilities?
Assist in the maintenance and improvement of CAMDA Carne’s metadata-driven data integration framework based on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
Work with SMEs within the business to build semantic models to facilitate self-service reporting.
Define and apply best practices in data engineering processes and standards.
Gain experience in Data Warehouse Design, Modeling, Data Integration, Data Analysis, Reporting, and business knowledge.
Partner closely with business and engineering stakeholders, ensuring data engineering and analytical deliverables and strategy are closely aligned to their needs.
Drive efficiency, stability, and consistency in end-to-end data operations from ingestion through to extract and reporting. Define and monitor data health metrics, including data quality, freshness, latency, SLA, and SLOs.
Investigate and troubleshoot operational data issues/gaps, striving for increased automation and continuous improvement.
Support education and knowledge transfer of data infrastructure, technologies, and tools across teams. Serve as a champion for a data-driven culture across the company.
Shape future direction and enable further success for Carne and its customers through active participation in the engineering leadership team.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all outputs.
Implement best practices for UI/UX design in dashboards and reports to enhance usability and user satisfaction.
Collaborate with the head of DEA to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data products.
