Culinary Leadership Role
This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Culinary Professional to assume a key leadership position within our esteemed kitchen team.
* The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations and maintaining consistently high standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
* As a senior member of the team, they will assume full responsibility in the Executive Head Chef's absence, upholding exceptional kitchen performance, communication, and quality control standards.
* In collaboration with the Head Chef, they will contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and the creation of innovative seasonal dishes that showcase their culinary expertise.
* They will be responsible for monitoring and controlling kitchen costs, including food margins, purchasing, and labour management to ensure operational efficiency and productivity.
* As a mentor and coach, they will play a pivotal role in guiding junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the kitchen.
* With unwavering commitment to excellence, they will maintain top-level food safety, hygiene, and presentation standards across all sections of the kitchen.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable 4 or 5-star property.
* A genuine passion for using seasonal, local ingredients and strong adherence to culinary best practices.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate and direct junior chefs.
* Calm, professional approach with attention to detail and a strong customer focus.
* Fluent English language skills are essential for effective communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
