Technical Sales Professional
Job Overview:We are seeking a motivated and experienced technical sales professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
* To develop new business by delivering accurate and timely quotations, technical support, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
* To collaborate closely with our sales team, engineers, operations and management to achieve business objectives.
* To provide detailed technical and commercial proposals for industrial damper and expansion joint solutions.

* Problem solving skills to understand customer requirements and provide technical expertise during the sales process.
* Proven ability to work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests.
* Essential criteria: qualifications and technical skills / capabilities.
* Experience working in a technical sales or similar customer-facing role.
* Level 3 – Mechanical Engineering based qualification (ONC or above).
* Experience of working in an engineering/production/manufacturing environment.
* Technical expertise to interpret customer specifications and recommend suitable damper and expansion joint solutions.
* Estimating knowledge to collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to gather necessary information and understand, gather and calculate/project costs and lead times.
* Proposal writing to prepare detailed and accurate quotations based on customer specifications, project requirements, and cost estimations.
* Commercial acumen to review and negotiate terms and conditions.
* A good working knowledge of Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
* Desirable criteria: qualifications and technical skills / capabilities.
* Level 5 – Mechanical Engineering based qualification (Bachelor’s Degree).
* Experience of working for demanding and critical industry sectors, such as oil and gas/power.
* A second (European) language.
