Payroll Specialist – 12-month contract

What You Will Do
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing accurate and timely payroll processing for a dedicated site or legal entity, in compliance with internal policies and all applicable legal, tax, and social insurance regulations. This role acts as a subject‑matter expert (SME) on payroll operations, systems, and country‑specific requirements. It plays a key role in supporting employees, partnering with HR and Finance, and driving process improvements.
* Provide second‑level payroll support and handle complex employee inquiries via the myHR service portal.
* Ensure the consistent and timely execution of payroll for employees, interns, and expatriates, considering country‑specific compliance requirements.
* Serve as subject‑matter expert (SME) for payroll systems and processes; liaise with internal functions (e.g., HR, Finance, IT) and external vendors.
* Support system training and knowledge transfer to team members or stakeholders.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure data accuracy and issue resolution across the end‑to‑end payroll process.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and harmonization of payroll processes and tools.
* Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to payroll‑related inquiries.
* Provide coverage for other Payroll Specialists when needed.
What You Need
Required Qualifications
* Completed professional education or completed studies.
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience in payroll or related field.
* Strong knowledge of local labour law, tax, and social insurance legislation.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous business‑facing HR, HR COE, HR Operations, or role‑related experience preferred.
* Experience working with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, SAP) and proficiency in Excel.
This role will be posted for a minimum of 3 days.
