Golf Operations & Services Assistant
Delivering exceptional member and guest experiences is a top priority in this role. Ensuring all golfers receive a warm welcome and providing excellent customer service at all times are essential duties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcoming members and guests warmly and professionally.
2. Providing a seamless arrival experience by assisting with golf bags, carts, and directions.
3. Reviewing and communicating golf course rules, policies, and etiquette to ensure a smooth and enjoyable round for all players.
4. Informing players of any unusual course conditions or restrictions to minimize disruptions.
5. Ensuring groups tee off at their scheduled times to maintain a timely pace of play.
6. Recording transportation use (golf carts, trolleys, and caddies) to monitor efficiency.
7. Monitoring the pace of play across the golf course and encouraging groups to maintain proper timing through marshal duties.
8. Engaging with players to provide guidance and recommend solutions to on-course issues in a helpful and courteous manner.
9. Reporting course play updates to the golf shop staff at regular intervals to keep them informed.
10. Repairing ball marks, filling divots, and supporting general course presentation to maintain the overall aesthetic appeal of the course.
11. Delivering messages or assistance to players when required, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
12. Outside Service Duties:
* Providing bag drop services, including greeting players, unloading bags, and staging them for play.
* Cleaning, fueling/charging, and storing carts and trolleys before and after play.
* Maintaining outside service areas in a clean, organized condition.
* Supporting practice range operations, including ball collection and replenishment.
13. General Duties:
* Providing friendly and professional customer service at all times.
* Acting as an ambassador of the golf club, promoting a positive image and experience.
* Steping in to assist in other areas of golf operations when requested by supervisors or management.
* Following all health, safety, and club policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with members and guests.
* Knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and pace-of-play standards to maintain a smooth and enjoyable experience for all players.
* Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
* Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
