We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Professional to join our client's growing team in County Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and review of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Analyse and present weekly KPI reports to the Senior Account Manager, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
* Identify and address financial control issues, recommending process improvements to enhance overall financial performance.
* Implement and monitor effective internal controls, maintaining a robust and secure financial environment.
* Oversee the accounts payable function, streamlining processes to ensure efficient and timely payment.
* Manage working capital to optimise cash flow, maximising return on investment.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations, minimising risk and potential penalties.
* Deliver financial control services and strategic support to clients, providing expert guidance and advice.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A senior Bookkeeper / Part-qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or significant experience of 5+ years in a similar position.
* Strong financial analysis and accounts preparation skills, with proficiency in financial software and Excel.
* Ability to train and supervise junior staff, promoting knowledge sharing and development.
* Proficient IT skills, particularly in financial software and Excel, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines, prioritising tasks effectively.
* Retail sector experience advantageous but not essential.
