Assistant Director of Nursing - Infection Prevention and Control
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the Infection Prevention and Control service at Naas General Hospital. They will ensure that all infection prevention and control practices are implemented and monitored in accordance with modern standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
* Lead a team to monitor and report on infection rates, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of care.
* Develop and deliver education and training programs for staff.
* Monitor and report on compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
* Registration as a General Nurse or other relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives.
* Seven years post-registration nursing experience, including three years in a management role.
* Successful completion of a post-registration program in infection control.
* Proven leadership and management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Annual Registration: Practitioners must maintain live annual registration in the General Nurse Division, and other divisions as relevant to the specific service, of the Register of Nurses and Midwives, as appropriate, maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Character: Candidates for this role must be of good character.
Post Specific Requirements: The successful candidate will have depth and breadth of post-registration experience in Infection Prevention and Control, relevant to the role.
