AML Compliance Specialist
The AML Client Onboarding team plays a crucial role in ensuring that onboarding procedures are followed accurately and completely. As an AML Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for minimizing risk and mitigating potential issues related to client onboarding. This position is ideal for those looking to enhance their knowledge of AML Risk with a view to progressing in their career. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Relationship Management community globally and gain exposure to AML regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
• 100% Quality Control of Client AML files and responsibility for sign-off
• Liaise with Relationship Managers / Client Service to communicate AML requirements and address any queries
• Strong relationship building focus with RM/CSDM community to ensure Client Service is maintained throughout the AML/KYC onboarding process
• Work with Partners from outsourced locations in terms of training and Quality of initial reviews
• Appropriate identification and escalation of issues to Compliance/Team Management
• Prepare various month-end and quarter-end ML reporting
• Actively participate in discussion forums to identify best working practices and consistency across jurisdictions of system enhancements and the rollout of new global risk assessment/contact management systems/processes
• Proactively look to continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure a centre of excellence for client AML/KYC onboarding
Requirements and Qualifications:
This role requires the ideal candidate to have experience in either an AML/Risk/Compliance/Audit/Control role and a working knowledge of AML regulations within their local environment. Candidates with strong Quality Control experience in other business areas will also be considered. Regional knowledge of AML requirements in multiple jurisdictions is desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong relationship building ethic. Attention to detail is critical, as is being a confident communicator.
