The Institute of Eye Surgery is a growing organisation and is Ireland's only network of clinics offering all ocular subspecialties under one roof. With sites in Waterford, Kildare, Westmeath and Cork, IOES provides expert care in cataracts, glaucoma, medical retina, vitreo-retinal, corneal refractive, ocular surface disease, oculoplastics, paediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology and aesthetics. We are committed to developing our people and ensuring they have the tools, training, and structure needed to succeed.About the RoleWe are seeking a Training and Development Coordinator to deliver high‑quality training to administrative teams. This is a training‑focused role with additional administrative responsibilities and occasional deputisation for the Administrative Operations Lead.Key Responsibilities:Deliver induction and onboarding programmes for new staff.Coordinate and track onboarding and probation processes.Develop and maintain training materials, guides, and SOPs.Provide coaching, skills development, and structured feedback.Maintain accurate training records and competency tracking.Identify training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.Support consistent administrative processes across sites.Assist with workflow improvements and KPI monitoring.Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and GDPR.Deputise for the Administrative Operations Lead when required.RequirementsEssential:4+ years' experience in training, coordination, or administration.Experience designing and delivering training programmes.Strong administrative and organisational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and database/scheduling tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain quality.Desirable:Train‑the‑Trainer qualification.Experience with patient systems (e.g., DGL, MediSight).Ability to travel between sites.SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt training to different learning styles.High attention to detail and accuracy.Problem‑solving and analytical ability.Supportive and constructive approach to staff development.Professional, organised, and confidential.What We OfferA role that directly supports staff capability and service quality.Opportunities for professional development.A collaborative, improvement‑focused environment.How to ApplyIf you meet most of the requirements and believe this role suits your strengths, we encourage you to apply using the "Apply" option or alternatively send your CV by email to
