Responsibilities
Supervise the day-to-day running of the accommodation and laundry departments.
Ensure rooms, bathrooms, corridors, public areas, and toilets are cleaned and serviced to a high standard.
Oversee laundry operations and maintain all hotel linen to a suitable standard.
Monitor staff attendance, uniform compliance, and performance; report issues to management/HR.
Train and mentor new staff, demonstrating correct cleaning methods, use of equipment, chemicals, and PPE.
Communicate with reception regarding guest requirements, group arrivals, and room readiness.
Address guest complaints professionally and escalated issues as needed.
Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene procedures are followed by yourself and your team.
Manage stock control and inventory for cleaning supplies, room amenities, and linen.
Carry out additional duties as directed by management, including special cleaning projects.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
Flexibility to work shifts across a 7-day week.
Ability to lead a team and work on own initiative.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Fluent spoken and written English.
