Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties
We are actively seeking a motivated and compassionate Project Support Worker to join a dedicated Care Team at CUMAS New Ross to assist and support existing staff to plan, prepare and deliver group projects and programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Establish a rapport with individuals who avail of the service and encourage engagement in activities to maximise their involvement in their planned activities and supports.
* Assist/support service users to participate in activities in the service or with community involvement and social integration.
* Support the service users while visiting the library, going for walks, cafés, cinema, etc.
* Assist and provide support with mobility and accessibility in a professional manner.
* Liaise in a professional manner with all relevant parties i.e. parents/family, social workers when required.
* Respect every individual and their family’s dignity, courtesy, and professionalism at all times.
* Uphold confidentiality at all times.
* Adhere and uphold Cumas policies.
Essential Requirements
* Empathy, respect, and commitment to person-centred care.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to use initiative and creativity in supporting service user needs.
* Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
Desirable (training will be provided)
* Experience working in disability services or social care settings.
* Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
