IT Test Analyst – Semi State Contact Shauna Mooney Salary: €52,026 Location: > Contact: Shauna Mooney Mobile: Our client is seeking an experienced IT Test Analyst to join their IT Department on a 12-month contract based in Dublin.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of business-critical systems by designing, executing and managing comprehensive testing processes across multiple platforms and vendors.

Key Benefits Salary of €52,026 per annum 12-month contract with potential for extension Blended working model available (minimum 2 days per week in-office) 29 days annual leave (exclusive of public holidays) 35 hour work week Work as part of a collaborative, innovative IT team Responsibilities Plan and implement testing activities including regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load and performance testing for new and existing functionality.
Work closely with third-party vendor development and QA teams to design testing strategies and embed testing within the development lifecycle.
Plan, create and execute user acceptance testing in collaboration with business stakeholders, third-party vendors and internal teams.
Document, analyse and report on test results, identifying defects and recommending corrective actions.
Isolate, reproduce, track and manage defects, maintaining test case and defect repositories and verifying fixes.
Support user acceptance testing carried out by business stakeholders and end users.
Conduct exploratory testing and risk analysis for complex, cross-platform or multi-team features.
Collaborate with other UAT leads and contribute to shared best practices and communities of practice.
Review third-party vendor test plans and results to ensure adequate coverage and quality standards are met.
Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through test automation and reusable test assets.
Apply automated testing approaches such as model-based testing and record-and-replay techniques.
Provide flexibility to support peak activity periods where required.
Requirements Essential A degree (minimum NFQ Level 7 or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Recognised testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Foundation or equivalent).
A minimum of five years' relevant experience in IT quality assurance and testing (a relevant master's degree may account for one year of experience).
Strong experience in test preparation, execution and reporting.
Experience designing and implementing test plans and managing user acceptance testing.
Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and experience using planning and test management tools such as Azure DevOps.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Desirable Experience working within a public sector, governmental or similarly regulated environment.
Proficiency in SQL, data visualisation tools, and an understanding of data privacy and security principles.
Experience working in multi-vendor ICT environments.
Background in relevant industries, systems or technologies.
Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.
