Job Overview
The Regional Workplace Health and Safety Manager will provide direct support to one or more of the Europe Reliability and Maintenance Engineering pillars, including Europe Customer Fulfilment, Amazon Logistics, and Global Specialty Fulfilment and Retail. The role will be responsible for engaging with technical Subject Matter Experts to continually improve network health and safety standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop a deep working relationship with RME and WHS stakeholders to ensure timely notification and collaboration on root cause analysis.
2. Establish incident investigation and reporting structures within your area of responsibility to ensure risks of maintenance operations are assessed and reduction measures are implemented.
3. Review KPIs and incidents to determine which require WHS Alerts or RME Safety Network Actions.
About the Team
The RME WHS team focuses on risks in RME activities but takes an end-to-end approach to ensure all risk reduction opportunities are pursued in line with the risk control hierarchy. We influence safe behaviours by analysing human factors and fostering a positive safety culture through engagement initiatives.
Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of qualification in a relevant field, such as safety, industrial engineering, or quality assurance.
* Experience in program implementation or overseeing authorized workers in various programs, including Fall Hazard Control, Electrical Safe Work, and Hazardous Energy Control.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 45000.
