Overview
AtkinsRéalis is one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services, with offices across Ireland.
We are currently seeking an experienced Community Liaison Officer to join our Stakeholder Engagement Team to support the delivery of a major rail infrastructure project in Dublin. As Community Liaison Officer, you will serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and those stakeholders impacted by the proposed development.
You will be responsible for engaging with a range of project stakeholders including landowners, members of the public, community groups, businesses, and elected representatives. You will support the delivery of all project communication including preparation of key project messages, digital content, as well as letters, brochures, leaflets, and display material for public information events.
Your mission will be to develop and maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders to build trust, ensure transparent communication, and support inclusive engagement throughout each phase of the project.
This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to work within a multi‑disciplinary team on a major rail infrastructure project in Dublin. We are looking for confident individuals with excellent communication skills who can articulate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. Knowledge of the statutory planning processes in Ireland will also be advantageous.
Your role

Engage with landowners, members of the public, community groups, businesses and elected representatives.
Act as the primary point of contact for community queries, issues and feedback.
Maintain accurate records of engagement activities and feedback received.
Engage with landowners to discuss the impact of project proposals on their land and agree proposed mitigation measures.
Support conflict resolution and promote constructive dialogue with stakeholders.
Develop and deliver project communications including letters, brochures, leaflets, display material, web content, newsletters and press releases.
Work closely with technical teams to ensure stakeholder needs are fully understood and communicated clearly throughout the engagement process.

About You

Degree educated in a land or planning related discipline, e.g. Geography, Planning, Environmental Management or Estate/Property Management.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in face‑to‑face meetings and written content such as letters, emails and communication material.
Experience working on infrastructure projects is advantageous.
Flexibility in managing workload, with the ability to multi‑task and prioritise when necessary.
Strong attention to detail, particularly in preparing and reviewing complex legal documents and plans.
A confident, positive and approachable individual.
Ability to work effectively within a large team or independently as required.
A highly motivated individual who will contribute to the growth of the Stakeholder Engagement Team.
