We are looking for a new full-time Team Leader for our Sheridans Cheesemongers counter in Dunnes Stores, Beacon Court: someone who loves cheese and recognizes the connection between food producers and consumers. This involves storytelling, tasting, sharing knowledge, and experience. Working for Sheridans Cheesemongers offers an opportunity to gain skills and deepen knowledge of Irish and European food culture through training and practical experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a willingness to learn, enjoy conversation and cheese puns, and understand the importance of supporting artisan food producers.

1. Purpose and Scope of Position
The Team Leader manages the daily operations of the Counter, guiding the team to meet objectives, maximize sales, manage stock, and ensure high standards of customer service.
2. Key Responsibilities
* Managing and directing the team (cheesemongers), including task allocation, breaks, standards monitoring, training, and rostering.
* Fostering a positive work environment with teamwork, respect, and morale.
* Ensuring compliance with HACCP, cleaning routines, food safety, and workplace safety; maintaining cleanliness.
* Managing stock levels, placing orders, processing deliveries, and handling queries.
* Supervising promotions, tastings, and supplier visits.
* Serving customers, handling queries, complaints, returns, and requests.
* Delivering exceptional customer service.
* Assisting with quality control and food safety issues, liaising with suppliers and the warehouse.
* Collaborating with management and other team leaders on daily and strategic matters.
* Building and maintaining good relationships with store management.
* Performing ad hoc duties as needed.
3. Department Structure
Reporting to: Area Manager
4. Qualifications/Experience/Skills
* At least 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
* Minimum 2 years in food retail.
* Excellent knowledge of Irish and European farmhouse cheese.
* Experience supervising a team desirable.
* HACCP trained.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Organized and calm under pressure.
