Job Summary
The EPS Group is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join the Service and Repairs division. The role involves the installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment on water, wastewater, and industrial sites.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out mechanical installation and service of pumps, blowers, screens, gearboxes and other mechanical assets in the water and wastewater industry.
Apply working knowledge of mechanical and electrical plant operations to perform routine planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance.
Identify mechanical faults and determine appropriate resolution, including required parts.
Document completion of tasks to the responsible job supervisor.
For unfamiliar plant items, request O&M manuals and part lists prior to site visits.
Provide mechanical and electrical supervision for onsite works unless specified otherwise.
Organise shared equipment (confined‑space equipment, Hiab, shared tools) needed for specific jobs.
Complete daily reports detailing works performed, materials used, and time on site.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Plant Fitter/Mechanic.
Experience in water and wastewater mechanical installation and maintenance (preferred).
Full EU/Irish driving licence.
Technical skills: ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and manuals.
Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail and precision.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
