The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for supporting Automation components of the manufacturing process with a strong culture of robotic and AGV applications, while continually enriching operator interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Participating in the Automation project team to build turnkey automated cells using the onsite Automation center of excellence for concept validation and deployment.
2. Providing PLC support to operate and maintain automated cells in production.
3. Supporting a Manufacturing Data Interface (MDI) culture and A3 problem solving to achieve automated cell takt time.
4. Ensuring compliance with SOPs and maintaining technical documentation.
5. Engaging in EH&S risk assessments, PFMEA, and complying with TT BOS standards.
6. Supporting system backups, images, disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and data integrity procedures.
7. Installing and upgrading equipment into operations and developing solutions for automation issues.
8. Generating and executing documents such as User Requirements Specifications, Design Specifications, FAT, SAT, and Operating Manuals.
9. Executing strategic changes with a can-do attitude and lean mindset, identifying and eliminating waste.
10. Communicating effectively with project teams, resolving conflicts, and collaborating with internal and external partners to build relationships and trust.
11. Driving continuous improvement, demonstrating passion for new technologies, automation, and process control, and generating innovative solutions.
12. Exhibiting strong collaboration and communication skills.
13. Being self-motivated, taking ownership of responsibilities.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Controls, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar.
* Over 5 years of experience in an automated environment with a proven success record.
* Proficiency with Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, including safety PLC versions, TIA Portal, RS Logix, or Studio 5000.
* Experience with FANUC and ABB robot integration.
* Knowledge of EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet, and ASi communication networks.
* Design experience in control systems, including safety-related systems, with full documentation; Eplan skills are desirable.
* Understanding of EN standards and regulations.
* Skills in developing business cases and stakeholder engagement.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
