Main Responsibilities
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for all commercial functions related to work winning, including projects such as HV substations, solar farms, underground and overhead cable routes, gas pipelines and associated infrastructure (AGIs and compressor stations).
1. Prepare accurate estimates in conjunction with the work winning team.
2. Review tender drawings and documents to determine the scope of works and tender deliverables.
3. Attend tender start-up, mid bid and adjudication meetings and make site visits as required.
4. Prepare BOQs for scopes of projects.
5. Produce enquiry schedules for suppliers and subcontractors required from the tender documentation, drawings and specifications issued.
6. Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and where necessary enter correspondence with suppliers to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.
Requirements
* Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor or Engineer.
* Proven estimating experience - minimum 5 years' experience in similar roles.
* Previous exposure to energy and power projects.
* Experience with CCS Candy would be an advantage.
* Good communication skills.
