Accounts Payable Analyst - Oil & Gas
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst for our Oil & Gas Operator client based in the City Centre, to support the finance team with processing high volumes of accounts payable invoices.
This is a staff role working on a 3/2 hybrid model.
Candidates should have a background in handling high volumes of accounts payable invoices within a larger corporate organization, with experience using various accounts software. Working knowledge of Maximo and/or SUN is particularly desirable.
Main duties:
1. Checking, coding, and processing supplier invoices, including G&A and Operated transactions.
2. Uploading invoices into Maximo.
3. Preparing weekly payment runs.
4. Sorting and prioritizing mail received by the accounts payable team, including managing a shared accounts payable email inbox.
5. Dealing with queries from suppliers and internal departments.
6. Reconciliation of supplier statements on a regular (minimum monthly) basis.
7. Setting up new suppliers or updating existing supplier details in Maximo and SUN.
8. Setting up staff expense accounts in SUNSystems and Time@Work, updating details as needed.
9. Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
10. Providing training and support to AP placement students.
11. Adhoc journal postings as required.
12. Serving as a Maximo Superuser.
13. Assisting with reporting and process improvement initiatives.
14. Performing various ad hoc duties as required.
Experience:
1. Proven experience in Accounts Payable is preferred.
2. Essential experience with invoice processing systems.
3. Experience with AI in invoice processing is a plus.
4. Familiarity with Maximo and/or SUN systems (or similar).
5. Knowledge of Chart of Accounts (COA) and journal entries is desirable.
6. Experience with service receipting of invoices is preferred.
7. Understanding of VAT, especially in offshore operations.
8. Experience managing a shared mailbox.
9. Experience with new system implementations is advantageous.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
