The Maintenance Operations Manager will oversee the maintenance of a resort, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained across the estate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in implementing and monitoring an effective maintenance system to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Supervise daily maintenance tasks, ensuring all items on the list are completed and recorded accurately.
* Perform hands-on maintenance duties as required, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other related tasks.
* Lead by example, promoting safe working practices and adherence to Health & Safety legislation among team members.
* Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement capital projects that enhance the resort's facilities and operations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within a hotel or resort setting.
* Relevant third-level qualification or training in trades such as electrical, plumbing, or carpentry.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, delegate tasks, and ensure accountability.
* Practical maintenance skills and a willingness to perform hands-on duties as needed.
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and schedule work efficiently.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise clearly with internal teams and external contractors.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
