Job Title: Senior Kitchen Team Member
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced senior kitchen team member to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key player in the kitchen, you will be responsible for assisting the head chef and sous chef with the overall management of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the head chef and sous chef in maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
* Take direction from department managers and contribute to the monitoring of food quality and hygiene standards
* Support the head chef in leading by example, demonstrating excellence and efficiency in all aspects of kitchen operations
* Maintain knowledge of HACCP regulations and ensure compliance at all times
* Work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Minimum 1 year previous experience working in a similar capacity in a hotel or restaurant environment
* A genuine passion for food and a desire to continually develop your culinary skills
* A mature and pleasant manner when interacting with customers and colleagues
* The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Good knowledge of HACCP procedures and regulations
