Mayo on a permanent basis reporting to Pricing & Trading manager. With 1400 styles across more than 20 ranges, we design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.We're on a mission to become the world's most requested PPE and Safety Wear Brand.JOB SUMMARY:The Deputy Pricing Manager will assist Portwest to develop and implement pricing strategies, considering factors like company revenue goals, competitor prices and consumer demand; they also conduct financial analyses to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and monitor market trends that helps provide a variety of information.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as Pricing Champion to ensure Portwest maximise sales across multiple marketsWork with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure correct information is available to allow optimal pricing decisions to be madeAssess quoted opportunities to increase sales submitted by Area Sales ManagersResearch competitors pricing in multiple markets, benchmark with PortwestAssess the Portwest commercial position across multiple markets and make recommendations for adjusting pricing where necessaryMaintain customer terms and conditions on Portwest systemsAssist the Pricing Manager and other Senior Managers on various pricing related tasksREQUIREMENTS:Commercial acumen, flexibility and initiative need to be demonstratedHigh level of numeric skills and attention to detail neededProficiency in Excel is a must, proficiency in Access would also be usefulAnalytical and research skills should be demonstratedAbility to take the initiative and lead projectsAbility to work in, and contribute positively, to a small team and engage in a positive way with the wider stakeholders within PortwestAbility to "put the shoulder to the wheel" during periods of heavy workloadsLI-RG1COMPANY AWARDSGreat Place To Work 2024Private Irish Business of the year – Export Industry Awards 2024Silver Ecovadis Sustainability Rating 2025Applicants must have a right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction.Portwest is an equal opportunity employer.
