We're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Store Manager to take full ownership of our Thomas Street store — standards, people, compliance, and performance.
This role suits someone who likes running a tight ship, not just being popular on the floor.
The Role
You will be the number one on site, responsible for the day-to-day performance of the store.
Your responsibilities include:
* Full ownership of daily operations: rosters, labour control, stock, cash, and reporting
* Ensuring the store is audit-ready at all times (food safety, HACCP, cleanliness, compliance)
* Leading by example on the floor while maintaining control of admin and systems
* Managing and documenting performance issues when needed
* Recruiting, onboarding, and developing a reliable team
* Acting early on issues — not letting problems drift
* Delivering consistent results without micromanagement
What We're Looking For (Non-Negotiable)
* Proven experience running a hospitality or retail operation
* Strong admin and computer literacy (emails, rosters, reports, systems)
* Comfortable being accountable for standards and results
* Confident managing performance, discipline, and difficult conversations
* Calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
* Willing to make decisions and stand by them
This role is not suited to someone who:
* have only supervised shifts without owning admin/compliance
* struggle with documentation or systems
* avoid accountability or difficult decisions
* require close day-to-day supervision
* cuts corners when busy
