Job Title: Field Service Engineer
As a skilled and adaptable Field Service Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of industrial equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include performing start-up and installation activities, as well as providing comprehensive training to operators.
Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues with installed equipment, utilizing your expertise in mechanical, electronic, and operational systems.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate ongoing problems and provide critical information for resolution.
* Develop strong relationships with customers through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Schedule and prioritize service trips within a global team environment.
* Prepare accurate and timely service call and expense reports.
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Must have at least one year of experience in a field service role, working on electromechanical equipment.
* Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Exhibit proficiency in using structured support processes and producing relevant report materials.
This is an excellent opportunity for a capable Field Service Engineer to travel to customer sites, servicing, installing, and providing training on their equipment. The role involves 50% travel throughout Ireland and occasional visits to the UK and EU, sometimes with short notice.
Requirements:
* Automation and controls knowledge.
* Strong mechanical and/or CAD skills.
* Electrical wiring knowledge and associated standards.
* Expertise in troubleshooting electrical circuits.
* Excellent relationship management skills and strong communication abilities, both written and oral, with commercial awareness.
