Quantity Surveyor - Nationwide Opportunities
The role of Quantity Surveyor is a key position in the construction industry, responsible for managing and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tendering & Estimating: Prepare and manage tender documentation, perform detailed measurement and take-offs, and assist in compiling accurate cost estimates for bids.
* Commercial Control: Manage all commercial aspects of live projects, including cost control, forecasting, risk management, and value engineering.
* Contract Administration: Administer contract obligations (e.g., FIDIC) including sub-contract procurement, payment certifications, variations, and claims management.
* Valuations & Reporting: Prepare monthly valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractors. Provide accurate financial reporting to senior management.
Candidate Profile:
1. Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field required;
You will be working as part of an experienced team on large scale projects across various sectors. You must have strong analytical skills with proficiency in measurement software as well as excellent negotiation communication skills. To succeed you should have sound knowledge on current construction procedures including best practices. Sociable approach needed due to regular site visits may be necessary.
