Client Services – Accountant

Role & Key Responsibilities
Apex IFS is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage one of our client portfolios. Entities under management average 30‑50 SPVs. The role is the front-of-house for our corporate service offering, responsible for overall client relationship, technical accounting, and value‑add services while coordinating with external and internal teams.
Oversight of client deliverables within the client portfolio to ensure adherence to corporate service agreements.
Ensure high levels of service delivery, acting as primary point of contact for operations issue resolution and as the internal technical lead for the portfolio.
Work closely with offshore servicing teams to deliver high‑quality, coordinated service.
Review periodic management accounts and financial statements to required standards and deadlines.
Prepare accounting memos on topics such as going concern, impairment, lease classification, etc.
Review transaction documents to ensure compliance and extract relevant data for financial reporting deliverables.
Liaise with auditors to plan annual audit and manage the audit query process within client and statutory deadlines.
Prepare periodic tax and compliance returns (e.g., VAT returns, FATCA, CRS).
Liaise with tax advisors to ensure corporation tax filings and payments are submitted within statutory deadlines.
Ensure client compliance with regulatory obligations (e.g., EMIR, CBI Reporting).
Attend and present at board meetings, drafting related board papers and minutes.
Manage onboarding of new client entities from a client services perspective.
Coordinate with Business Development to identify and follow up on business opportunities and service development.
Provide training, guidance, advice, and assistance to other team members.
Execute ad‑hoc project work, including assessing new legislation relevant to client SPVs.
Understand and articulate Apex Group services and values confidently.
Skills Required
2‑3 years of relevant industry experience.
Qualified Accountant.
Expert knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP.
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of a client portfolio.
Capability to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex, dynamic environment.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
Knowledge of corporate governance, local laws, and regulatory requirements is a distinct advantage.
