Cybersecurity Specialist
A leading technology firm in Dublin is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join its cybersecurity team.
The successful candidate will assess networks, applications, and systems to identify security vulnerabilities and provide practical remediation guidance.
You'll carry out thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration tests across web, infrastructure, and cloud environments, working closely with security engineers and developers to improve defenses and reduce exposure.
Key responsibilities include:
* Perform network, web application, and infrastructure penetration testing.
* Identify vulnerabilities and communicate technical findings with clear remediation advice.
* Conduct assessments against known frameworks and standards.
* Contribute to threat modeling and internal security testing processes.
* Prepare detailed reports outlining issues, impact, and recommended mitigations.
* Support red team exercises and assist with vulnerability management.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* 3-5 years' experience in penetration testing or ethical hacking.
* Strong understanding of web and network protocols.
* Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, or Nessus.
* Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
* Relevant certifications are a strong plus.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
