Occupational Therapist Role
Our organisation is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in working with older adults who have dementia and/or long-standing mental health challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver occupational therapy interventions to support older adults' functional ability, cognitive function, and daily living skills.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop individualised care plans.
* Implement compensatory strategies to promote autonomy and participation in meaningful activities.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate discharge planning and ongoing care.
* Engage in clinical audit and contribute to the development of best practice initiatives within the OT service.
Essential Requirements:
* Registration as an Occupational Therapist with CORU (essential).
* BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU.
* Experience working with older adults in a mental health context.
* Strong communication and documentation skills.
* A collaborative approach to care planning and rehabilitation.
