About The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Apprentice to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification through the SOLAS apprenticeship programme
Responsibilities
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Support senior technicians in diagnosing mechanical faults and implementing solutions.
Operate and maintain tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
Participate in scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Attend off-the-job training phases as required by the apprenticeship programme.
Requirements
Minimum of Junior Certificate or equivalent; Leaving Certificate preferred.
Strong interest in mechanical systems and engineering.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
Willingness to learn and complete the SOLAS apprenticeship programme.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to health and safety practices.
Desirable
Previous work experience in a mechanical or industrial setting (e.g., summer job, TY placement).
Familiarity with hand tools and workshop equipment.
