Requirements For The Hotel Laundry Machinist Role
Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment is desirable
Basic knowledge of operating commercial laundry equipment
Understanding of fabric care and stain treatment techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to follow safety and hygiene procedures
Strong communication and time-management skills
Responsibilities For The Hotel Laundry Machinist Role
Operate industrial washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines
Sort, wash, dry, and press linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles
Inspect laundry for stains and damage; treat stains as necessary
Ensure all items are cleaned and finished to the hotel's high standards
Maintain cleanliness and order in the laundry area
Monitor equipment for proper functioning and report maintenance needs
Assist other departments with linen stock and inventory when required
