Presently we are seeking a highly‑motivated Psychologist – Senior Grade to join our team in CHO 8 Meath CDNT 5 Navan /Slane.
Contract Type: Permanent Part‑time (0.70 WTE)
Contract Hours: 24.5 hours per week
Salary Scale: €97,978 to €115,166 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments). This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days pro rata per annum.
Overview of the Post
Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Psychology services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical assessment and intervention for young people and families aged 0–18 years with complex needs.
Deliver clinical supervision and support to junior staff.
Contribute to service development and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Engage with children, schools and community settings to deliver family‑centred care.
Essential Criteria

University degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8) in Psychology with 1st or 2nd class honours.
An Irish post‑graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology, or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.
Demonstrated competence in the Care Group(s) applied for.
At least five years of satisfactory post‑graduate experience in professional psychology, with no more than three years spent to obtain the post‑graduate qualification and at least two years full‑time post‑qualification experience as a professional psychologist.
For clinical or counselling psychologists: at least 60 days of supervised clinical placement in Disability (Child and Adult), Child Psychology or Adult Psychology, or at least 60 days of post‑qualification supervised work experience.
For educational psychologists: at least 60 days of supervised placement in Child Disability or Child Psychology, or at least 60 days post‑qualification supervised work experience.
Member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Minimum of two years’ experience working in Children’s Disability.
Eligible to work in the state and possess a valid driving licence with access to own transport for service delivery.

Desirable Criteria

Previous senior‑level experience.
Experience of inter‑disciplinary team working.
Skills and competencies with assessment and intervention for mental health needs as presented in children and young people with disabilities.
Experience working with children aged birth to 18 years, with a range of disabilities including physical disability, autism, and learning disability.
Qualification and experience in completing diagnostic work‑ups including ASD, Developmental Delay and Intellectual Disability.
