Senior Health Safety Environment Advisor
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join a leading construction company, working on major commercial and pharmaceutical projects in Cork, with some travel between sites.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving the company’s EHS management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a strong safety culture across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and manage EHS policies, procedures, and systems.
* Provide guidance and training to management, employees, and subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with all EHS legislation and best practices.
* Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and other EHS training programmes.
* Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and permits to work.
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations with follow-up actions.
* Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and registers.
* Support site management in promoting EHS initiatives and continuous improvement.
Requirements
* Relevant third-level EHS qualification.
* 8+ years’ experience in a similar EHS role within large-scale construction.
* Experience on major commercial or pharmaceutical projects.
* Excellent knowledge of EHS legislation and best practices.
* Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
