SOCIAL CARE WORKERS/SUPPORT WORKERS
The focus of this role is to support individuals in realizing their vision of leading a good life through Person Centred approaches, aligned with their personal interests, skills, will, and preferences.

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, creative, and energetic Social Care Workers and Support Workers to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in achieving their vision of a ‘good life’. The role involves leading initiatives that help individuals live according to their preferences, become connected and valued within their local community, and develop meaningful relationships. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in supporting individuals to develop valued social roles, experience supporting individuals with communication needs and behaviors of concern, and knowledge of person-centred planning and individualised support approaches.

Essential requirements/qualities of applicants include:
* Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care / Social Care Practice (minimum Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications), CORU approved. Candidates must be registered or in the process of registering with CORU. Alternatively, a relevant QQI Level 5 Qualification or willingness to undertake a QQI Level 5 Major Award.
* Knowledge of HIQA Standards.
* A valid driving licence for manual vehicles in Ireland.
* Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational, logistical, and IT skills are advantageous.
* Supportive, dependable team player.
* Experience and commitment to supporting individuals in connecting with their community.
* Self-awareness.
* Suitability as outlined in the role's introduction.
Please note that successful candidates must be available for day, weekend, waking night shifts, and sleep-over/overnight shifts. Willingness to work alone in residents’ homes and various locations is also required.
