About the Role:
This position is crucial for any business seeking to maintain its integrity and reputation in the financial sector. As a risk and due diligence manager, your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage third-party risks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead comprehensive risk assessments of suppliers to ensure their compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
* Identify and track potential risks, implementing timely remediation measures to prevent non-compliance issues.
* Verify supplier responses for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that all necessary documentation is submitted on time.
* Provide guidance to stakeholders throughout the due diligence process, fostering open communication and collaboration.
* Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Legal, IT Security, and Compliance, to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in finance, business, compliance, or risk management (Master's or professional diploma an asset).
* Proven experience in supplier or third-party risk management.
* Thorough understanding of regulatory and internal compliance standards.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Able to work collaboratively across teams to drive process improvements and automation.
Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), ICA diplomas (AML, KYC, Financial Crime), and ACAMS. Key skills include risk assessment, due diligence dashboarding, financial services risk analysis, and strong analytical abilities.
