ROLE SUMMARYAs a Project Manager at The Project Foundry, you will support a high-profile public-sector pilot programme, providing end-to-end project management services on a part-time contract basis.
You will lead the project from initiation through delivery, working closely with senior stakeholders to establish governance, manage delivery plans, and ensure effective oversight, reporting, and control throughout the lifecycle.
You will join a professional services firm that supports organisations in delivering structured change through Project Management, PMO, Business Solutions, and technology-enabled transformation.
RESPONSIBILITIESProvide end-to-end project oversight, including establishing the project governance framework from the outset.
Work closely with project sponsors and senior stakeholders to ensure project outcomes are delivered in line with the agreed project plan.
Own, maintain, and update the project plan, including scheduling of key activities and milestones.
Ensure the project budget is tightly managed and reported to senior stakeholders.
Manage project risks and issues, maintaining a risk and issue register with appropriate mitigation and escalation.
Produce clear, accurate, and timely project status reports for stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate stakeholders and contributors to ensure effective communication, alignment, and decision-making.
Support change management through structured communication and stakeholder engagement.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical or data specialists engaged on the programme.
Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors, where required, to support project delivery.
Use appropriate tools and controls to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.
Develop and maintain communication plans to ensure all key parties are informed and engaged.
Support post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned activities.
REQUIREMENTSMUST HAVEStrong project management experience, with the ability to stand up governance frameworks at project initiation.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging and reporting to senior stakeholders.
Proven experience managing and reporting on project budgets.
Excellent reporting skills, with the ability to present clear and concise project updates.
Self-directed and comfortable working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment.
NICE TO HAVEExperience working on public-sector or health-related programmes.
Experience supporting pilot or discovery-led initiatives.
