Our client are recruiting for a Part-Qualified Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team.
This position is located in Tullamore Co Offaly.The RoleThis is a hands-on and varied role ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic finance professional looking to develop their career.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of financial functions, contributing directly to the efficient operation of the Finance Department and supporting the wider business.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily banking transactions, bank reconciliations, and supplier paymentsMaintain accurate accounting records using Sage 50 (or similar)Manage Debtors and Creditors ledgersPrepare and issue customer invoices; record and allocate paymentsMonitor overdue accounts and support credit control processesReconcile Purchase Orders with Supplier Invoices and identify discrepanciesAllocate costs accurately across departmentsConduct monthly supplier and intercompany reconciliationsPost and review company credit card transactionsAssist in preparing monthly management reports and reconciliationsSupport payroll processing and Revenue filings (PAYE, VAT, RCT)Assist with audit preparation and year-end accountsContribute to marketing efforts, including monthly mail merges to potential suppliersUpdate lead databases and assist in social media and brand awareness initiativesSupport the development of internal policies and proceduresMaintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all company policiesPerform general administrative and ad hoc finance duties as requiredRequirementsBBS/BA in Business, Accounting, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in a Finance DepartmentProficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent attention to detail with a proactive approachFull clean driving licenceAbility to work independently and meet tight deadlinesTeam player with strong interpersonal skillsWillingness to take initiative and continuously learnWhat We OfferCompetitive salary, commensurate with experienceSupportive team environment with opportunities for growthFlexible working conditionsExposure to a wide range of finance and business functionsA chance to be part of a pioneering and sustainable companyApply Now Join a company at the forefront of sustainable forestry in Ireland.
