Public Information Specialist

This role is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for providing information on human rights and equality law in Ireland to the public.


About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead the development of IHREC's public information service, known as Your Rights, which provides information to members of the public on rights under equality and human rights law in Ireland.


Key Responsibilities:

* Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for providing information on human rights and equality law in Ireland.
* Information Service Development: Lead the development of IHREC's public information service, known as Your Rights, which provides information to members of the public on rights under equality and human rights law in Ireland.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams within IHREC to ensure that the information service meets the needs of targeted populations.
* Efficiency: Develop an efficient and effective information service that adds value and does not duplicate the work of other actors.
* Cultivation: Cultivate relationships with key organizations to promote access to information for marginalized and vulnerable communities.


Requirements:

* A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as communications, law, or social sciences.
* At least 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a public sector organization.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
