We are looking for a Senior PowerShell Developer to design, build, and maintain automation and migration solutions that streamline IT operations and support large-scale cloud transitions.
This role sits within a migration project team and is hands-on throughout the full lifecycle: design, development, testing, debugging, delivery, and support of PowerShell-based workflows. You will play a key role in migrating legacy systems and data to Microsoft 365, ensuring reliability, security, and minimal disruption to the business.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with business stakeholders and report directly to the Project Manager.
Key ResponsibilitiesPowerShell Development & Automation
* Design, develop, test, debug, and deliver PowerShell scripts and workflows
* Translate business requirements into technical automation solutions
* Apply system software engineering policies, standards, and procedures
* Provide ongoing support and maintenance for delivered workflows
* Monitor and improve automation solutions to increase efficiency and reliability
Migration & Cloud Transition
* Plan and execute migrations of:
* Exchange mailboxes
* SharePoint content
* File shares
* Legacy data and systems
* Support on-premise to M365 cloud migrations
* Ensure:
* Data integrity
* Minimal downtime
* Security and compliance
* Successful user adoption
* Use PowerShell, native Microsoft tools, and/or third-party migration solutions
Operations & Collaboration
* Troubleshoot technical issues and support incident resolution
* Work independently while collaborating with:
* Project teams
* Security teams
* IT operations
* Offshore team members
* Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and the Project Manager
Documentation
* Create and maintain technical documentation for scripts, workflows, and processes
* Ensure documentation supports long-term maintainability and handover
Skills & QualificationsRequired Technical Skills
* Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
* Experience integrating PowerShell with:
* Active Directory
* SQL or other data sources
* Microsoft 365 services
* Hands-on experience with cloud migration, especially to M365
* Solid troubleshooting and operational support experience
