Ramboll offers hybrid working, allowing you to split your time between home and the office. The role will primarily be based on-site in Ireland/Northern Ireland.

You will join our Project Management department
As a Designers Site Representative, you will manage daily design coordination activities on-site in support of the Project Manager, aligning with Ramboll’s Project Excellence Lifecycle. Ramboll supports flexible working, and you will be part of a team of experts working towards shared goals.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Acting as the primary liaison between the contractor’s team on-site and the Ramboll design office, ensuring design obligations are met during construction
* Performing duties of the Designers Site Representative, including witnessing construction, inspecting works, managing Non-Conformities, and handling Technical Queries and Material Approvals
* Managing the site team of engineers, specialists, and inspectors on larger projects
* Managing the RFI process
* Ensuring project deliverables are met within deadlines
* Liaising with stakeholders to align project objectives
* Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines
* Reporting progress to the Project Manager and senior management
* Resolving issues promptly to prevent delays
Growth and Development
We support your personal and professional growth from day one. For this role, we believe your starting point includes:
* Minimum HNC/HND in Building/Civil Engineering or related field
* Preferably a chartered member of an appropriate construction organization (e.g., ICE/IEI)
* Experience in a DSR role on civil infrastructure projects, ideally within a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy
* Proven success managing large-scale projects
* Knowledge of National Infrastructure Programmes, including National Highway’s Project Control Framework and Regional Investment Programmes
* Understanding of construction and design processes
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations
* Familiarity with procurement methods and contract administration like NEC3 and NEC4
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, well-organized, and excellent communicators who can prioritize effectively and collaborate across teams.
