Elecnor is seeking a highly experienced and proactive HSE Manager to join our dynamic team for an exciting infrastructure project based in Te Aroha, in the Waikato Region of New Zealand.
As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across the project. You will work closely with both site management and project personnel to ensure that all HSE policies, procedures, and systems are effectively implemented and continuously improved.
This is a residential fixed-term contract position.

THE ROLE
* Develop and enforce safety policies compliant with regulations
* Conduct site inspections and risk assessments
* Implement risk mitigation and emergency response plans
* Provide HSE training and conduct safety meetings
* Lead investigations of accidents and enforce corrective actions
* Maintain incident records and ensure environmental compliance
* Minimise environmental impact of construction activities
* Conduct emergency drills and maintain response plans
* Collaborate with project teams to promote safety culture
* Liaise with regulatory agencies and inspectors
ABOUT YOU
* At least 7 years of experience in a similar HSE management role
* At least 5 years experience working in electrical or energy sector projects
* Cert IV in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety (tertiary preferred)
* Able to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
* Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* New Zealand work rights
* Driver’s licence
* Construction Passport
