Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MS&T Senior Engineer to support the site's new material introduction (NMI) and maintenance throughout their lifecycle. This position will be part of the MS&T Hub at our new State-of-the-Art single-use Multiproduct Biotech facility at Dunboyne Biologics Facility.
What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation, and leadership to carry out the following:
1. Participate in key technology transfer activities supporting clinical and commercial NMI projects related to single-use component technology and material qualifications (MQ) for platform processes.
2. Act as a Subject Matter Expert in single-use components, supporting process component investigations.
3. Identify innovation opportunities and support process optimization projects, including yield improvement and cycle time reduction within the current single-use design.
4. Utilize risk management techniques to assess strategies, prioritize activities, and initiatives.
5. Provide technical coaching within the MS&T team to develop talent in raw materials and single-use technologies.
6. Serve as the technical process lead on New Product Introduction projects and other selected initiatives within the MS&T Hub.
7. Collaborate across site self-directed work teams and hub teams to identify and resolve issues, supporting quality, environmental health and safety (EHS), learning, and continuous improvement.
8. Ensure the flawless launch and execution of new biologic-based medicines, providing technical leadership for product robustness, supporting site investigations, and managing risk programs at Dunboyne.
What skills you will need:
To excel, you will likely have:
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field, with extensive experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
2. At least two years of detailed knowledge and experience in single-use technology, including new assemblies and raw materials introduction.
3. Ability to assess the technical impact of single-use technologies and materials.
4. Technical understanding of upstream and/or downstream purification processes for biological drug substances.
5. Experience in clinical or commercial technology transfer activities is desirable.
6. Proven change management and leadership skills with an improvement mindset.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate issues appropriately.
8. Self-motivated, flexible, with a track record of delivering technical solutions cross-functionally.
9. Knowledge of SAP, MES, and DeltaV systems is advantageous.
