Job FunctionQualityJob Sub FunctionQuality ControlJob CategoryProfessionalAll Job Posting LocationsRingaskiddy, Cork, IrelandJob DescriptionWe are searching for the best talent for a QC Technical Expert – Microbiology.PurposeWe are looking for a QC Technical Expert – Microbiology to join our team in Cork.ResponsibilitiesSupporting qualification of microbiological and analytical equipment and related testing activities (e.g., endotoxin, cell culture, TOC, spectrophotometry, and related methods)Coordinating sampling and testing during plant and laboratory utility qualificationPlanning and supporting analytical method transfers for new molecular entitiesCoordinating analytical testing and sampling for raw materials, utilities, in-process, bulk, and finished productsSupporting and delivering analyst training programs within microbiology and QCSupporting day‑to‑day laboratory operations in collaboration with team leadersReviewing and approving data, laboratory investigations, deviations, CAPA, and change controlsLeading or supporting projects such as method transfers and equipment qualificationIdentifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory processesProviding subject matter expertise in microbiological and analytical technologies and supporting troubleshooting activitiesSupporting lean initiatives within laboratory operations, including test execution, documentation, and equipment lifecycleClearly presenting microbiological and analytical data to internal stakeholders and regulatory inspectorsStaying current with microbiology practices, analytical technologies, and compliance trendsQualifications / RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific field4–6 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong technical knowledge of microbiological and QC analytical testing methods and laboratory equipmentKnowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA/EU guidanceExperience with Quality Control systems, documentation, and regulatory inspectionsStrong problem‑solving skills and attention to detailAbility to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teamsClear communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a concise and practical wayAbility to adapt, manage change, and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesA proactive and structured approach to work, with a focus on quality and complianceDemonstrates an understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and uses effective prompting techniques to support efficiency and productivityWhat we offerWe offer a collaborative and inclusive environment where we work together to deliver high‑quality outcomes and continuously improve our processes.
