Automation Technician Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and technically proficient Automation Technician to fill this role in our Longford, IE operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot and maintain complex servo-driven systems, vacuum circuits, and PLC-controlled machines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
* Interpret and work from mechanical drawings and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics to design and implement automation solutions.
* Support production start-ups and changeovers by adjusting automation and robot systems to meet business requirements.
* Make basic programming adjustments to automation and robotic equipment to improve productivity and quality.
* Assist in the installation and setup of new automation systems to minimize downtime and maximize returns on investment.
Requirements
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
* Hands-on experience with injection molding, automation equipment, and robots to design and implement efficient automation solutions.
* Ability to read technical schematics and use digital multimeters to diagnose and repair equipment.
* PLC knowledge preferred but not required, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Basic computer literacy to perform administrative tasks and access relevant software applications.
